"Alcohol continues to be the drug of choice among Flagler County Middle and High School youth. Nearly a third (33.1%) of Flagler Students reported using alcohol during their lifetime with 6% of Flagler Middle School students report participating in binge drinking (five or more drinks in a row within the past two weeks) double that of the Florida State average of other Middle School students. Flagler County students overwhelmingly indicate that they consumed alcohol in a home, either theirs or someone else's (FYSAS 2020)
